Every day you are reminded of the "bad child" of the telecommunications industry; billing and CRM. At the same time, integration between the media and the telecom industry are more in focus. Exciting times, but who will deal with these challenges, as customers experience increasing problems to orient themselves in this new terrain? With a leading focus on selling, companies are occupied and concerned with the requirements for efficient, effective and successful telemarketing from the telecom/media industry. At the same time, the requirements for customer support have reached new heights. Simple, transparent and proficient interaction with the user will be more valuable than ever. This calls for systems, good systems, that provide a basic understanding of the telecom industry in general and where the industry is approaching when the content and distribution is progressively more integrated. NextCom has worked with this issue for several years. The challenges are multifaceted. So is the system upon which NextCom Evolution is built. However, our result shows an "extremely easy-to-grasp user interface". Based on feedback from our pilot customers, which essentially says that the system is problem free and easy to use, it is of course no reason to delay the process. The goal is to become market leader within expert customer maintenance by providing state-of-the-art CRM and ServiceCenter solutions customized to the needs of the industry. Three years is a long time, but we completed necessary regulatory requirements: the Nordma-standard and all other formal requirements such as incorporation of Reservasjonsregisteret (which continuously need to be updated in a user friendly interface that provides effective sales and Customer Care). The telecom industry faces major challenges. The competition is getting tougher. The requirements for effective utilization of resources and enhanced focus on core business is a must.
